E Safety in the curriculum

At Aurora House and Wyvil Primary School we ensure that all children are taught key skills to stay safe online.

E Safety is embedded into our Computing curriculum and related issues are discussed in other areas such as anti-bullying initiatives.

As part of being a Rights Respecting School, all pupils in Key Stage 2 are required to sign an E Safety Rights Charter. This charter is written by the children themselves and includes a range of rights and responsibilities relating to online behaviour and use. 

As part of Safer Internet Day this year, Wyvil held a 'Design an E Safety Emoji Competition'. The aim was to get the children to think about important messages about staying safe online whilst having fun. You can see the competition winners below.
